Bill to ensure accurate testing results
needs the Governor's signature

Oklahoma’s kids must have a quality education to succeed in a competitive global economy.  Yet test scores for K-12 grade students in our public schools are way too low.  And accurate dropout and graduation figures are difficult to find.

SB 1111 shifts responsibility for reporting state test results and data from the Department of Education to an independent Educational Quality and Accountability Office. It lets Department of Education staff focus on solid education for our kids.  The Accountability Office will monitor and report the results. Learn more.

SB 1111 sits on the Governor Henry's desk, awaiting his signature.  Please ask Governor Henry to sign SB 1111 TODAY!

More energy – Not more taxes!

The President and some leading Members of Congress are proposing new energy taxes and fees that threaten not only domestic supplies of oil and natural gas -- but Oklahoma jobs.

These unprecedented taxes will impact an already struggling American economy and energy companies – big and small.  Learn more.

Ask President Obama to stop new taxes and support a balanced energy policy that encourages oil and natural gas development.

Write Members of Congress who oppose these taxes including all Oklahoma's Legislators. Thank them. Urge them to keep up the fight!

                       It's About Jobs!

The nonpartisan Prosperity Project is sponsored by The State Chamber of Oklahoma and more than 1,500 leading companies, local chambers of commerce and business associations working to make Oklahoma the state of choice
